Happy New Years! New Group Events For 2013!

Hi everyone! Happy New Years!


As you may have noticed, Pokegirl-Bellies had no group events for all of 2012.


Well, now that 2013 is here and that is about to change. I am hoping to have 2-4 group related events this year!

The planned group evens will go as follows:

Spring/ Easter- Pregnancy
Summer/ July 4th- Fat/BBW
Autumn/ Thanksgiving- Stuffing
Winter/ Christmas- Any belly type.


The first one is Easter, which is pregnancy themed. That means you can draw any Pokégirl(s) pregnant for this event. Just as long as it is remotely Easter or Spring themed.

You may draw any number of girls you wish to for these events, provided that they meet the group rules and the event's theme.

It sure sucks that artists less fortunate in the talent department are pushed away from this group.

And by that I mean I find the elitism infinitely more damaging to my ability to enjoy my time here than any given piece of lackluster art could ever hope.

1) We don't accepted edited works. The picture you tired to submit was an edited animation of another uses work.

2) It's just a group, no one is stopping you from posting your art on your own DA page or stopping you from making your own group dedicated to pokemon girl bellies.

3) Everyone has room for improvement, we want to see artists submit quality art that they put their sweat and blood into.

1) Your censorship of my content is noted, but I find the reasoning arbitrary and therefore cannot say I support this practice.

2) That's true, but I think it would be nice if the group that already existed wasn't so exclusive as to mandate the need for a second group to begin with.

3) I don't believe that discouraging a lack of skill is the same as encouraging improvement. Why should a group about the appreciation of pokegirl bellies also double as an artistic improvement focus group anyway? Why should any random group on DA double as that? What I'm saying is that it would be nice to have fandom groups that don't shove that sort of thing down your throat.

1) Again I say, it's not your content. It's edited work, we don't accept that. It is not arbitrary since we have a zero acceptance of it. What would be arbitrary is accepting some edited work and not others.

2) I repeat, you can start your own group. Nobody is stopping you from doing so. Groups are not a main feature of DeviantArt, they're just additional venues to display art.

3) Why shouldn't it? If you want a group that accepts any and all types of niche artwork, then make your own group, it's not hard. If you want to have your art accepted into this particular group, then improve! Anyone can improve, talent is a small part of the artistic process, most comes from practice and knowledge.


But seriously, you really need to chillax dude. It's just an art group on DeviantArt.

:shrug: must have been other admins.

Preferably we would like to see art with crisp lines, different faces, volume to the figure and it should look like the artist spent a good deal of time and effort.
